Led by Jason King Roxas on lead guitar and vocals, the Jason King Band deals only in the heartiest of Blues, Rock, and Roots music. Jason King Roxas is a native Nevadan. He learned to play music at an early age and is an accomplished singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Jason’s love for Blues music began when he heard the great BB King through an old transistor radio. The music moved him so much that he asked his mother for a guitar and began seeking out other blues artists to listen to and learn from. Jason’s exposure to legendary Bluesmen such as Muddy Waters, BB King, Freddy King, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Hubert Sumlin, Otis Rush, and Jimmy Rogers, as well as more contemporary artists such as Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Keb’ Mo’, helped to shape his musical stylings. Backed by the talents of Matthew Bassett (Bass) and Bradford Scribner (drums), the Jason King Band is a focused, power-packed group determined to make you move. The band draws from a wide range of musical styles and influences when writing and performing. Adding in years of musical experience from each member result in a fresh spin on a venerable genre. The Jason King Band manages to create music that is both vital and relevant, all the while staying true to their blues roots.
